Hi,
Windows 2000 is not supported on new arrays as MSA2000 and EVA4400, and the release notes of XCS 6.200 specifies no support of this OS.
Is it meaning an EVA-XL firmware upgrade disables every Windows 2000 hosts connected ?
Regards

Hi,
The release notes for XCS 6.200 do indeed state that support for Windows 2000 has been removed, however the latest Windows release notes:
http://bizsupport.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c01494618/c01494618.pdf
imply that Windows 2000 is still supported...
The SAN design reference guide, also states that Windows 2000 is still supported on XCS 6.110 and later.
http://bizsupport.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c00403562/c00403562.pdf
See the table on page 181.
I'll take a guess that Windows 2000 will carry on working fine with XCS 6.200. If you have a support contract I would push HP for a definitive answer on what is supported, given the rather contradictory documentation.
Cheers,
Rob
