Windows SAS cluster

I would like to setup a windows cluster using SAS shared storage. I have 2 DL360G7 servers. So I will probably need an External sas port in the server and some kind of disk enclosure. However I am having trouble finding the right products to do the job.

Re: Windows SAS cluster

We have a simple Storage box like MSA 60 and MSA 70 but i think those are qualified for Clustering under HPUX.

P2000 SAS Model Storage qualified for Windows Cluster.

Re: Windows SAS cluster

Hey,

Check out the MDS600 for the disk array, it doesn't have a controller inside it (raid etc done by the server controller) but can hold quite a lot of disks.

P2000sa G3 would also do the trick, but I would try to find something other than the P2000.

For the external sas port, this depends on performance/size of disk array.

See here for an overview of smart array controllers:

Re: Windows SAS cluster

Thank you for your help.

I think a MSA 2000sa G2 and 2 SC08Ge HBA's will do the trick.
