Windows cluster with SmartArray 6402 + MSA30

We have the following configuration
2 ML370G4
SmartArray 6402 controller ( 2+2 channels )
MSA 30 with dual port module

On 6402's A(internal) channel we have connected the internal drives for raid 1 and booting.

On 6402's B ( external ) channel we have connected the MSA 30 jbod.

The problem is that we cannot see the msa30 from any host

Is such configuration supported , how can I configure the msa30 / 6402 for clustering ?

I didn't found any useful documentation

thanks

Re: Windows cluster with SmartArray 6402 + MSA30

Doesn't work. Both ports of the MSA30 DB go to different SCSI busses inside the box. For a shared SCSI cluster you would need to change the SCSI ID of one of the SA6402s to resolve the conflict - I'm not sure you can do that. You would also need device drivers that understand how to properly work on a multi-initiator bus.

Re: Windows cluster with SmartArray 6402 + MSA30

I tried to detach one server ( for possible ID conflict ) but cannot see the MSA 30 either .

How is it ?
thanks
