XCS 600 disk space reporting problem
Hi All,
If XCS 600 reports wrong disk space(as told by many in these forums ) is there any way to know the correct free disk space ?

You can get the EVAs to correct their free space reporting by either re-booting or re-syncronizing the controllers.

You are right - I've never seen a public discussion of how one gets around the fault in XCS 6.000. The quote below is the only public mention of the problem and it's from the XCS 6.100 release notice:
"Disk drive capacity usage is now correctly calculated after an online disk drive firmware upgrade.
After removing or inserting a disk, the disk group capacity is now displayed correctly.
After reducing the allocated capacity of the DR group log HP Continuous Access EVA configurations, that capacity becomes available disk space."
My statement on reboots or re-syncs correcting the problem (until the next time you replace a disk) is based on an HP field engineer's recommendation.
