Hi Guys,
Since XP, SUN and HDS boxes are originated from Hitachi. Does anyone knows any weblink where I can get the comparision of these products (which is equivalent to what)?
I am very new to HP products so would like to know this. Please help.

Solution
Dont know of a website but its basically like this -
RAID450 - HP XP1024 - HDS 9980 - SUN 9980
RAID500 - HP XP12000 - HDS USP - SUN 9990
HP XP1000 - HDS NSC55 - SUN 9985
These days the base microcode is the same across all OEMs with only very slight variations that Im aware of if even any these days.
However, each vendor has its own supported configurations and supported part list.
Hope tihs help,
Nigel

Re: XP Product compare with Hitachi and Sun
I would like to add that the differentiation comes on the integration and solution support.
HP can deliver end to end solutions including server, OS and middlewaresupport (Oracle,SAP ...)
and
integrated infrastructure and dual or multisite cluster solutions like:
- Zero Downtime Backup and Instant recovery
http://h71028.www7.hp.com/ERC/downloads/4AA0-5769ENW.pdf
- Metro Cluster XP for HP-UX
http://h71028.www7.hp.com/enterprise/html/4181-0-0-0-121.html
- Cluster Extension XP for Windows, Linux, Solaris, AIX
http://www.hp.com/products1/storage/products/disk_arrays/xpstoragesw/cluster/index.html
- FRS and soon also AppRM like on the EVA
http://h18006.www1.hp.com/products/storage/software/frs/index.html
http://h18006.www1.hp.com/products/storage/software/arm/index.html
Cheers
XP-Pete

Re: XP Product compare with Hitachi and Sun
to the 2nd floor:
XP1000 should be XP10000.
XP1000 should be XP10000.
