XP128 and ACP upgrade
Our current XP128 has 48 72 Gb disks and 2 spare disks with 1 ACP pair. In future when more disk is added beyond 64 a 2nd ACP pair will be required. Will the entire array have to be reconfigured from scratch during such an upgrade to a 2nd ACP pair ? I do not believe it will be, but need clarification as that was a comment from the HP engineer.
Many thanks in Advance

Re: XP128 and ACP upgrade
Hi Wynand,
I do know the upgrade is offline, but I don't believe you have scratch the array and reformatting the HDDs. I haven't actually done one, but I believe that was how it works. It has to do with going from 4 to 8 loops in the canisters as I recall. Hopefully someone that has actually done one will have a better answer...
Cheers,
Curt
