XP128 monitoring / notification of errors
I would like to setup error notification on an XP128. It is currently setup to use the built in C-Track phone home capability via modem to contact HP directly. Is it possible to set it up to also notify myself and others besides HP via email whenver there is a problem? (using SNMP, Insight manager, ISEE, etc.) We are not using Command View XP, so that is not available.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: XP128 monitoring / notification of errors
Hi,
yes one way of the notification is to configure the SNMP traps destination, which can be any management servers, e.g. HP OVO servers. Then if you have the appropriate template there on the OVO servers (in your case XP128), all "uninteresting stuff" can be supressed, and only relevant traps pass further into the OVO and then finaly if you have e.g. any kind of incident system it can be further routed into it automaticaly to generate the incident cases...

regarding the XP128 notification; did the advise that IBaltay written below work for you?
