XP24k and OVMS

Hi,
When we present an Xp LDEV to the OVMS host the new device is seen as gga as opposed to dga and can't be mounted on the system.

Has anyone come across this before?

Thanks,
Declan

The GGA device is the controller LUN. Each disk must have an OSunitID , otherwise VMS will never configure it.
Can you imagine if we used PCs to manage our enterprise systems? ... oops.

Re: XP24k and OVMS

I've ran into this before... OpenVMS expects that lun 0 is a controller lun (command device) and not a disk that can store data. It doesn't need to be a command device, but can't be used as a regular disk.
