XP512 disk array in "High Performance" mode for the FC interface
Hello XP512-experts,
does somebody know, how to turn on the "High Performance Mode" for the CHIPs? Hostmode 08 and 18 are not accepted, so it must be something else... :-(
I would be really glad to get the information while I am still in Moscow, as we are working on the XP in the next room, here.
Thanks a lot in advance,
Wodisch
(If I could spell "dosvidanje" I would have written it :-)

Re: XP512 disk array in "High Performance" mode for the FC interface
Hi Wodisch,
Are you using Remote Control XP to perform this change? If so, it's necessary to enter the LUN Management window in "Off Line Mode" (as opposed to "On Line Mode" or "View Mode") to modify port configurations.
Be aware that if the port you are making modifications to is servicing I/Os, the change will not be accepted.
To reconfigure a fibre port, simply select the "Fibre Option" button, to open the "Fibre PCB Mode" window, which allows you to specify the Fibre PCB Mode (Standard or High Speed) for each PCB.
I hope this helps.

Re: XP512 disk array in "High Performance" mode for the FC interface
Hello,
Chris: thanks for mentioning, we tried it that way, but it did not work. And the answer: it was some unrelated problem, but it *convinced* the SVP to block all operations :-(
Bill, thanks a lot - I will try to get it.
Kind regards,
Wodisch
