about the battery of EVA 3000 controller

we have a EVA system with HSV100 controller!
we have not used it for three months.yesterday I power up the EVA,but the led of battery is in red blinking status,till tonight it is still red. when I check the battery in the SMA,it shows the status of battery is failure.
I wonder whether the four battery of the controller pair is all failed.
why?could you give me the answer?

Batteries discharge over time.

I suggest you leave the system on for 24 hours and see if some batteries are able to recover. If not, you have to replace them, because an EVA does NOT work with bad batteries.

I suggest if you again power down your EVA for extended time to remove the batteries.
Batteries discharge within days if installed!
