Storage Boards Cleanup
To make it easier to find information about HPE Storage products and solutions, we are doing spring cleaning. This includes consolidation of some older boards, and a simpler structure that more accurately reflects how people use HPE Storage.

ca & w2k3 cluster - disks not accessible

Hello,

customer has some w2k3 cluster server (without sp1), 2x EVA3000 und Continuous Access 2.1.
After switching to the mirrored storage,
the Cluster cannot access the disks. They
are shown in Windows disk management but
are not accessable.
We hope that the Upgrade to sp1 will solve the
problem. Do you have any other hints?
Thanks
Arnulf

Hi,

Did you reboot the servers? For CA failover, you need to reboot Windows machines. According to the CA Planning Guide, Windows does not support "Bootless failover".

Yes, Stephen,
Servers have been rebooted.
We tried it two times.

Are there any event log entries from the cluster disk driver? It might say why it cannot access the disks.
