Hi,
hp2300 disk array and RAID5 ?? As I understand, the 2300 is a JBOD. Do you use an HBA Raid controller ?

Hi Binu,

The HP ds2300 ( Disk System 2300 ) is a 3U, 14-LP-disk, Ultra160 enclosure. Actually speaking a JBOD.No inbuilt Raid functionalities available.

When needed to enable RAID functionalities, this can be connected to any of the Supported Raid Controller cards installed on an HP9000 system.

Please post the output of ioscan -fun.

Else check , where the ds2300 attahed on server side. The configuration depends on the Raid controller.

NetRaid 4Si is a widly used Raid controller card on HP9000 system.Configuration details can be viewed here. However I am not sure this is the card which is there in your machine.
