configuring new disk array for dl385

We are running linux 4 on a dl385, and I am a newbie for linux.

I want to configure a new disk array (raid 5). Is there a way to access the "smart array management" from linux?

Can someone please provide a "cookbook" for doing this. Can the linux hardware manager rescan and detect new disk arrays without rebooting?
