default disk group
can i ungroup all disks in default, except 8 disks, and then delete the default disk group ? then move the remaining disks to the diskgroup2 ?

If there are no Vdisks in the default disk group, then you should just be able to delete it without ungrouping the disks first.
The only time that you can't delete a disk group is when it's the only one on the system.
Be aware though that deleting the default disk group may cause a resync of the controllers. I seem to recall reading an advisory on this recently, but can't find it again at the moment.
