disk locked out
Hello,
We have a L3000 HP server connected to FC-60 storage. One of the disk failed and I replace the one with a new one. But the amdsp output shows that the newly disk status as "Disk Locked Out" also the array status is WARNING.
The Vendor information, Sr. No., Model No. of the same disk are shown correctly but the disk and its space is not useable.
Kindly let me know how to include the disk and allocate the diskspace.
Regards,
Girish Ransubhe

And why i am getting this kind of Warning and let me know why this situation could have aroused????

Re: disk locked out
Did the new disk is a refurbish one or did is a real new one? If this is a refurbish one it was probably formated for another type of disk array...
to format the disk:
# mediainit -v /dev/rdsk/cXtXdX
Stf ;-)
