horcm - Steps to transfer disk control to secondary site

horcm - Steps to transfer disk control to secondary site

Good day,

I am currently testing Raid Manager on Linux
(Suse Linux Entreprise Server SP2) along with RaidManager and using LUNs in CA from 2 XP24000 arrayes in two different sites.

On the server on the secondary site I have both /etc/horcm files (horcm1.conf for the source and horcm2.conf for the target) with 3 108g LUNs and 2 command devices.

Works fine since the status is currently PAIR with the P-Vol on the first XP24000 array.

I want to transfer disk control to the other XP24000 array.

I may be missing something here...

My steps where...

unset HORCC_MRCF (This a CA ... not a BC)
export HORCMINST=2 (This is the target)

pairvolchk -g TEST-CA
pairvolchk : Volstat is S-VOL.[status = PAIR fence = NEVER] (Normal I I am pointing to the target)

horctakeover -g TEST-CA -S (With the normal Currency error on the S-Vol)

pairvolchk -g TEST-CA
pairvolchk : Volstat is S-VOL.[status = SSUS fence = NEVER MINAP = 1 ]

... comes to SSUS state... is this normal ?
... actually ALL pairs are in PSUS-SSUS state.
... and the P-VOL is still on the first array

pairresync -g TEST-CA -swaps (failed)
[EX_CMDRJE] An order to the control/command device was rejected
[Cause ]: An order to the command(control) device failed,or was rejected.
[Action]:Please confirm the following items. If this trouble doesn't resolve, then collect HORCM error logs(HORCM_LOG=/HORCM/log2/curlog) and Remote HORCM logs, and send them to service personnel.
(1) Check if the 'HORC or HOMRCF function' is installed in the RAID.
(2) Check if the RCP and LCP are installed in the RAID.
(3) Check if the path between the RAID CUs is established by using the SVP.
(4) Check if the pair target volume is an appropriate status.

Am I missing something ?

Thanks,
