hot plug event on auto raid

nearly every two or three weeks I get following message:

=======================================
Tue Jun 22 15:28:46 2004
Array Monitor Daemon
=======================================
Disk array on /dev/rdsk/c4t1d0 at edeldb7
is processing a hot plug event. Do not remove another
disk until the array has finished processing the event.

Our HP specialist says:
The space of auto raid is completly allocated. If the raid is sometimes very busy and it can happen that a disk answers too late. The auto raid runs to time out and thinks the disk is missing. This seems to be normal.

Is this realy normal or does a disk have a hidden bug? The command arraydsp -a shows no errors.

Any idea?
