how to present VA7410's LUNs to fixed host?

dear all,
I saw serveral hosts share a VA7410's LUNs, and all those LUNs could only access by specific fixed hosts, to me, it was just like an EVA. I have no idea how to reach it, I even thought that VA could not reach it. could any one tell me how to accomplish it?

Thanks a lot.

Re: how to present VA7410's LUNs to fixed host?

By default, each LUN is visible to all servers.

This "selective presentation" was possible via the addon product "Secure manager".

Do you have this licensed?

(check with GUI)

Hope this helps!

Torsten.,
Through you opinion, should Secure Manager install on every host that accesses the VA7410? I need to learn more about this product.

thanks a lot

No. The secure manager runs on the VA itself.

You configure a LUN - server WWN dependency.

Hope this helps!
