Re: hpux seing the lun with eva5000

Those devices should not be in No_HW state. Moreover there should be one more entry for
hsx if you get EVA LUN presented to the host successfully. Eithere is a connection problem or FC driver issue.
The entry for ext_bus with fcparray is missing!!! I bet it is driver issue.

There should be two product installed and shown in swlist -l product
FC-TACHYON-TL and FCMassStorage

Can you put following here
# swlist -l product
# fcmsutil /dev/td0
# fsmsutil /dev/td1

How the EVA is connected physically to the host. Pls provide more details to assist you

I'm attached to a switch attached to the eva. Nothing funky. Thanks

Re: hpux seing the lun with eva5000

Hi,
Is the HBA visible from the EVA ?
Have you created a host in the EVA and assigned the HBA to the host ?
Is the LUN presented to the host ?

Is the HBA visible from the switch (I belive you have some tool to monitor the switch) ?

Switch zoning OK ?

Is link up (LED on both switch port and HBA) ?

Dave,

Are the correct drivers in the kernel? If not you may have to add them and reboot the system.

Re: hpux seing the lun with eva5000

Hi everyone thanks for helping. I realize I have a bigger problem. We aren't seeing windows hosts either. I'm going to try and figure it out today. I will let you know.

Thanks again.

Re: hpux seing the lun with eva5000

I'm ending this post. I tried with a brocade switch and it worked. I originally had a mcdata. I tried with a diffent box running command view and it worked with both switches. Anyway thanks everyone.
