hsz80 and ds20
hello,
I have an Hsz80 single controller with 2 ports. On My ds20 I have a Myley 3 port (kzpca). How should I connetct my hsz80 to my ds20?
Another question: A graphical pci card can be installed in any pci slot in ds20?
To activate it the command is:
p00> set console graphical
is it all or I need check other things?

Re: hsz80 and ds20
The HSZ80 storage array has an HVD (high voltage differential) interface. You must use a SCSI host bus adapter (KZPBA-CB) to connect the HSZ80 to your AlphaServer DS20, not a PCI backplane RAID controller (KZPAC-Cx). The '3X-KZPCA-AA' and 'SN-KZPCA-AX' are LVD/SE adapters which are not compatible with HVD, either.
You cannot put an arbitrary graphics card into a server and expect it to work. Please see the supported options list - any limitations are documented here:
http://h18002.www1.hp.com/alphaserver/options/asds20/asds20_options.html
The commands are:
> set console graphics
> init

Re: hsz80 and ds20
Thanks Uwe for your answer.
I made a mistake. The raid controller is a Mylex 3 channels and should be a KZPSC-BA who is HVD. From your link, I have seen that the graphical pci board should be in the pci slot number 0.
Thanks again for your help
