is syslog entry from disk array meaning an error or informational
I have been receiving the following entry in syslog:
syslog: HP Advanced Disk Array serial number 00000013D144: Array online: Product Revision: HP62: Product ID: C5447A
Is this only an informational message or is this an indication of something that needs to be further investigated?

Re: is syslog entry from disk array meaning an error or informational
It's informational only.
For instance, A new disk module is installed(removed), you'll see a message like "Disk at A3 is Online(Offline)" in the syslog.
Hope this helps,
