Re: missing EAB cables for eva8000 EMU - what to do?
the CAN (controller area network) bus is terminated with the top/bottom terminators:
(top term. 12-56288=8-13; Bottom Term
12-56288-12), which you allready have and consists of the following:
a)CAN bus (2 wires) - cabinet specific data
b)the address bus (7 wires) - enclosure numbers
c)a ground wire (1 wire) -
The Enclosure address bus (EAB), sometimes called also the cabinet bus (CAB) consists of cables and either the rack screwed junction boxes (JB), or velco strapped shelf ID expansion cables. 2 drive enclosures connect with keyed 10-pin connectors to each JB or shelf ID expansion cable.
Lets assume that you have the ID expansion cable variant:
Then the
a) Y-cable is used only for the controller pair connection (Y cable - 17-05118-11)
b) the interlink cables 17-05405-01 are JB2JB cables
c) and finaly :-)
port ID Can Cable 17-05403-01 should be the PN for the enclosure cable for the CAN/EAB connection

What is a kit or part number that I can order that gives me a set of EMU cables, etc, etc for the EMU system?

Re: missing EAB cables for eva8000 EMU - what to do?
I now need the 4 new enclosures to be able to connect to the cable chains...
So, any kit (even with extra parts for spares) I can order that gives me everything needed?

Re: missing EAB cables for eva8000 EMU - what to do?
I see the post about what the long part # contains. Now I can see and order the smaller part number listed above (ending with the B, not the A) so, what does this part # include?

Re: missing EAB cables for eva8000 EMU - what to do?
The second part #,
336881-B21 is EAB bus expansion cable kit
Seems like its just the cable that runs from the EMU card to the chain? This is all I am needing...
Is it just one cable? Do I need a kit per enclosure?

Re: missing EAB cables for eva8000 EMU - what to do?
I need the cat6/ethernet/LAN looking cable that goes from the EMU management port to the chain. I need four of them so all new enclosures have the cable running to the chain.
