Goodmorning ,
I have a msa2012i single controller with two virtual disks.
- The A virtual disks with 5 HD 300GB SAS raid 5 with three volumes.
- The B virtual disks with 4 HD 300GB SAS raid 10 with two volumes.
I would add two disks to 300 GB or larger the A virtual disk.
I can expand the A virtual disk and then expand one of the three volumes?
all without losing data.
thanks

Re: msa2012i
Note that it takes 15min/GB to do an expansion. Or 150 hours for 2x300GB.

Re: msa2012i
thanks for you replay.
msa mount the 300 GB SAS disks ten the two logical volumes.
my question is as follows:
1) I can add drives of larger capacity and form a differentlogical volume?
2) the same server I could have two iscsi connections that link to two different logical volumes on the same MSA?
thanks

Solution1) I can add drives of larger capacity and form a differentlogical volume?
>> you can add larger disks and create another vdisk, in that you can create more volumes
2) the same server I could have two iscsi connections that link to two different logical volumes on the same MSA?
>> logical volumes are not tied to a physical ethernet port.

Re: msa2012i
What is your question?
You can connect the same server to several iSCSI targets.
