problems with 12h storage and HP-UX 11.23 (PA-RISC)

Hi,
i connect a 12h storage in my server 11.23
model:
9000/800/L2000-44

but don't show the LUN in ioscan,
before, i installed HP-UX 11.11 and no problem, show the LUN in ioscan.

I guess you are talking about an autoraid 12h.

This is the problem:
The array and the SCSI HBAs are HVD SCSI - and this is simply not supported with 11.23.

You need to stay with 11.11 or buy another array.

This is one of those pesky little details that you should have researched before migrating to 11.23; as mentioned, no HVD SCSI devices are supported at 11.23. If you must you this old array then you could use LVD/HVD SCSI converters (Blackbox Corp and Paralan are two sources) but you would have none of the array management tools for the 12H. You should be able to use the 11.11 version of those tools but the real answer is to walk away from this old gal --- she's done enough.
