The part no for the harddisk is 289243-001 and the model is BF07285A36 . Please advice where can I find the firmware for the drive and steps to upgrade the firmware for a unix server rx1620 server

"when I bring up the server, it says that the firmware on the harddisk need to be upgraded"

Can you capture and post the message?
I have never seen this.

BTW, the procedure may depend on the server family and is different for Integrity and PA-Risc servers.

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: re : firmware upgrade for drive

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the info, anyway I have requested for an on-site engineer from HP to upgrade the firmware because it cannot be downloaded.
