removing all data from a XP256
the best way to remove all data from a XP256, before de-installing the unit for removal from site.

Run the XP256 through a 8FT diameter magnetic core ;-)
Or you can just recarve the array groups.. present new LDEVS (different from the original LDEV sizes) -- present ALL LUNS to serers and either:
1. dd copy to them NULLS
2. create a perl code to do random writes to fill of the LUNs
3. purchase some of the mentioned commerical data wiping tools available suggested in the recommended thread...
