rpm of disk
How can I find "rpm" of a disk on a dedicated array remotely on hpux 11.11?
P.S. This thread has been moved from Disk to Disk Array. - HP Forum Moderator

Re: rpm of disk
With typical disk arrays the HP-UX server does NOT see the individual disks. Instead you carve LUNs from the array to present to the server. The HP-UX server will just see the disk space and not care what the underlying infrastructure is for those LUNs.
Without knowing what type of array you have, it is impossible to answer your question.

Re: rpm of disk
Depending on the type of array you should use the management tools to get details about the hardware. Get the disk model and look it up on the web.
Hope this helps!

Torsten.
