san eva storage
Hi,
can anyone please offer any guidelines to the setup of EVA storage. My company is currently looking to change from an old HSZ configuration, using mirrored and shadowed disks, to an EVA san setup.
As I understand it, this will mean that data is randomly split across a 'group' of disks. I am struggling with the concept of things like housekeeping, defrag etc, as how do we keep track of our data if we, in affect don't know where it is. A anyone been through this transition and canconsequently offer a laymans perspective.
It would be greatly appreciated and I would be ever in you debt
Many Thanks
