upgrade eva 4000 to 8000

hi expert
i have eva 4000 i need to upgrade to 8000 so i need to change the controllers can you provide me the steps?or can you give some documents which can guide me? many thanks for your help

If you upgrade to an EVA8000, you can keep the enclosures and change only the controllers and add loop-switches.

The other things you may want to do at the same time is to move the EVA8000 controllers to the middle of the rack so that when you add additional shelves in the future, you don't need to move things around at that time and take an outage. Also, verify that your Command View licenses will be valid for the EVA8000. You may need to have the EVA4000 licenses transferred or may have to buy new EVA8000 licenses. And just to be on the safe side make sure that the current EMU and I/O units in your disk shelves have the latest firmware on them and that they are compatible with the EVA8000.
