can you check with "autopath display " command

Re: viewing EVA LUN on HPUX ?

HI

Run the command ioscan -knfCdisk |grep -i HSV

This will list the disk presented to server from EVA along with instance #

Re: viewing EVA LUN on HPUX ?

I'm not sure if this answers your question however the d number in the legacy device files corresponds to lun number.
If you do your evainfo command -w (wwn number) -l you should see something similar:
Devicefile Path Tgt Lun Array HostPort
Vendor Product Revision Controller# WWNN
Capacity Controller/Port/Mode
/dev/rdsk/c2t1d2 2 1 2 5000-1FE1-500E-33E0 5000-1FE1-500E-33E9
HP HSV210 6200 PBA23F29SVV02Q 6005-08B4-0009-0A27-0000-C000-0BBE-0000
102400MB Ctl-A/FP-2/NonOptimized
/dev/rdsk/c6t1d2 6 1 2 5000-1FE1-500E-33E0 5000-1FE1-500E-33ED
HP HSV210 6200 PBA23F29SVV067 6005-08B4-0009-0A27-0000-C000-0BBE-0000
102400MB Ctl-B/FP-2/Optimized

So it looks like your current disks are using lun numbers 1 and 2.

Re: viewing EVA LUN on HPUX ?

Just select the host entry of your HP-UX server and then click the [presentation] tab -- you will get a list of virtual disks already presented. From there he can decides which address to use.

Or just present the virtual disk and click [assign LUN] -- only free addresses are available.

Or let CV-EVA choose a free address by licking the left-most button ;-)

Re: viewing EVA LUN on HPUX ?

... assuming you added all ports of that server to a single host entry in command view. Normally you do like that.

The most easy way is to look into the specified screen in CV - see post above.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: viewing EVA LUN on HPUX ?

On HP-UX 11.31:

1) ioscan -fnkNCdisk | grep HSV
-> note the hwpath, for example 64000/0xfa00/0xa

2) ioscan -m hwpath -H 64000/0xfa00/0xa
-> note the lunpath, for example 0/0/10/0/0.0x50001fe15002f76d.0x4006000000000000

3) scsimgr get_attr -a lunid -H 0/0/10/0/0.0x50001fe15002f769.0x4009000000000000
-> check the output for:
current =0x4009000000000000 (LUN # 9, Flat Space Addressing)

Re: viewing EVA LUN on HPUX ?

#scsimgr get_info all_lun
gives information of WWID on all attached luns from san.

Re: viewing EVA LUN on HPUX ?

Proposal from Michael Leu seems to be a good basis. Perhabs there is a support script who automatizing this steps and give the results direct to the screen ?
