SolutionIt is hardly impossible to find HBA settings, BIOS, FW etc. that match both arrays requirements.
And, what happens if you encounter errors? Neither IBM nor HP tested interoperability and can give you support.
So, do not do it!
Get yourself another HBA!

Re: xp512 with IBM DS4800 connectivity
Each storage and its FC ports have unique behaviors and could influence each other directly or at least the HBA.
So buy yourself anothe HBA; if you are short of PCI slots, buy a dual port FC HBA. But then make sure that this dual port HBA is supported by XP512 and DS4800!!
