D2D110 email notification problem

Setting up D2D110 to send email without authentication it fails. The email is not delivered and into D2D logs I found "Failed to send Notification Email to ...".
Of course if I set username an password for authentication on SMTP server the email notification works.

Anyone else has this problem?

I think this is a firmware bug.
Sniffing the comunication between D2D and SMTP server I found that D2D always send AUTH LOGIN command also when username and password are not set.
