Should VLS6840 send mail when MSA20 250GB drive is down

Hello All,

Does anyone know if the HP VLS6840 should send email message ( if configured ) when a drive is in down state? Our web internet cable was unplugged when the drive went down, and just got plugged in today. Should it have queued the failed drive message, and sent the message as soon as cable was plugged in ?

are you referring to a hp-ux host? if so, you may check the current ems configuration using /etc/opt/resmon/lbin/monconfig command.
