Slow copy to attached drive on D2D2500

I have a D2D2500 with a local attached LTO-3 drive. The backup to the device is fast but i then do a copy fo the last written tape to the attached drive (72Gb tape copy takes 9 hours). I have updated firmware on D2D to ai89-002.145. Any ideas?

Re: Slow copy to attached drive on D2D2500

Try to wait 24 hours before to migrate to phisical tape.
Process are probably running on just loaded data

Re: Slow copy to attached drive on D2D2500

I created a new VTL (after the upgrade) and that has seemed to help. It will run slow once in awhile. Issue isn't really fixed but at least tolerable..

Upgrade to the latest firnware on hp.com. The version is 100.392. This should give some improvement,

Re: Slow copy to attached drive on D2D2500

I have it it has helped - one of the other items is to review the "best Practices" guide for the unit

If there is a large amount of De-Dup then you need to wait between backup and off-load. Also turn OFF verify..
