StorageWoks D2D Email notofication fail through Exchange SMTP
Hi,
I have a D2D 110 with the last firmware (kn77-001.395) and I try to send a test email through an exchange SMTP server (Windows 2003 R2 SMTP Server). The IP settings are correctly setted on the D2D and on the server.
I see the connection from the D2D to the SMTP server but on the D2D log there is an error "Failed to send Notification Email to xxx@xxx.xx". I have tried whith and without the smtp authentification configured on the D2D. My SMTP server is configured to allow POST and RELAY from the IP adress of the D2D.
This is the log from the SMTP server :
#Fields: date time c-ip cs-username s-sitename s-computername s-ip s-port cs-method cs-uri-stem cs-uri-query sc-status sc-win32-status sc-bytes cs-bytes time-taken cs-version cs-host cs(User-Agent) cs(Cookie) cs(Referer)

So I have just an EHLO and then a QUIT command on the SMTP log?
Anybody have an idea to resolve this problem?

Re: StorageWoks D2D Email notofication fail through Exchange SMTP
Hi I have the same problem too.
A supportcall is open to fix this issue. I have no idea what is wrong on our exchangeconfigurations. email alerts from other systems as d2d arrive my emailadress.
I think theres something wrong with the firmware or the syntax where the email will be queued for delivery.
If somebody has the answer please post it!

Re: StorageWoks D2D Email notofication fail through Exchange SMTP
Have the solution now!
The raeson why the D2D can't send messages is that it support no Integrated Windows Authentication! If you don't want to disable the feature you can add a new user or take a user that exist for authentication with the mail server. Go in the virtual smtp settings and add the user und the users section. enable transmission authority.
Than you cannadd the user with the newest firmware of the d2d in the email section and the d2d will sent now email alerts.
Hope it will be help some other users!
Bye.
