StoreOnce 4700 and FC VTL presentation to host

Hi,

I am trying to present a FC VTL to a host and having some problems getting the VTL to be detected.

It's a StoreOnce 4700 and the VTL created can be any of the models available.  The changer and drives are created, zoned into a NPIV-enabled VSAN on a Cisco fabric together with the host.

The host then 'sees' the HP diagnostic device (so physical connectivity isn't a problem) but not the changer or the drives.

I get this problem whether the host is Windows (2008 R2) or ESX.

I think I may be missing something quite fundamental but can't quite figure it out.
