Tape Emulation SDLT110/220
We think about use of VLS6000 with existing MSL5026 (SDLT110/220 drives). If I study the VLS I find that "The HP VLS6000 is capable of emulating a wide range of HP tape drives (currently HP StorageWorks DLT 7000, DLT 8000, SDLT 320, HP LTO-1, LTO-2, LTO-3) and libraries (currently the HP StorageWorks 1/8 Autoloader, the HP StorageWorks MSL6000 tape library, and the ESL E-series tape library)."
The reason - may We Use existing SDLT for Tape Cloning (with backup software - Networker) from VLS to MSL ?
Thanks
PetrK

Re: Tape Emulation SDLT110/220
Hi Petre,
yes, you can use your's existing SDLT tapes to make clones from VLS to MSL. Be aware that i'm not a Legato specialist. Any other question?
Thanks
Raf.
