Unable to acquire media with Data Protector Express
I am using Data Protector Express 3.10 in conjunction with the HP D2D backup system. I can not get Data Protector Express to see the media when I attempt to run automated jobs when I am logged out of the system. Everything works fine when I am actually logged in but if I am not logged in I receive the error:
Unable to acquire media.
Note that I receive a similar unable to acquire media when I use Backup Exec to save as well but this occurs whether I am logged in or not.
Any ideas? This has to be a security issue but I am unsure where to start.

Re: Unable to acquire media with Data Protector Express
Let me add to the issue - now I can't even get the job to run properly when I am logged in. I receive a message that:
Unable to acquire new media and the media slot which should be selected is trying to move over to the Ultrium 2-SCSI.
Thanks.

Re: Unable to acquire media with Data Protector Express
First, upgrade Data Protector Express to version 3.5 Service Pack 2 (SP2). Then, upgrade the firmware of your D2D Backup System to the latest firmware.
Both of these are available at no charge.
