VLS6870, URGENT!!!!! lost storage pool capacity.
Hi EE,
we cann`t see storage pool capacity and any cartages on the our vls6870 (in our configuration we have 14 enclosures), we`ve already checked the cabling, rebooted vls, and tried to restore the config file... no luck.
can anybody help me , please
P.S. This thread has been moevd from Tape Backup (Small and Medium Business) to Disk-Based Backup. - Hp forum moderator

Have you checked the Firesafe to look for the lost cartridges???
If a Virtual Library is destroyed then all the Cartridges owned by that library will go to the firesafe. You would then need to create the library again and associate the catridges to that library from CVVLS.

where i can looking for "Firesafe" ?
And which FS is using for shelves(msa20) and where they is mounting? why i`m asking, `cause i`m really need information from my vls, and maybe i can install Linux, which supports FS and can take data from shelves, is it possible?

Sorry for a delayed reply....
The firesafe is accessible under the Cartridges.. System> Chasis >Cartridges..
Look at the attachment for details..
Don't try to play with the data using Linux as this might cause data loss.. If you find the cartridges in the firesafe, then go ahead and create a new Virtual library and move the cartridges directly from FIRESAFE...
