Virtual Cartridges missing after VLS firmware upgrade
We're upgrading VLS6218 firmware from ver.2.3.0 to 3.2.2.
After upgrade, all the virtual cartridges went missing in the CV GUI; the Cartridges page just show "Error occurred", and we cannot even add new cartridge.
But we're able to see cartridges under the "Storage Pool".
Please help. Thanks!

Re: Virtual Cartridges missing after VLS firmware upgrade
Two enclosures have alert. If there are access problems to the disk enclosures, the cartridges are will not be available.
Check what's happening with those disk enclosures.

Re: Virtual Cartridges missing after VLS firmware upgrade
It appears as if two of the MSA20 enclosures were not properly recognized.
I would try a full powercycle in the right sequence:
1. Power on one MSA at a time, wait for it to initialize and move the next one.
2. Power up the VLS node.
Also, there are some considerations before moving from a 2.x to a 3.x firmware version:

Finally dedup enabled VLSs require special considerations such as the cartridge sizing which differs a lot from regular VLSs:
Please review the "HP StorageWorks VLS and D2D Solutions Guide"
