1777-slot 1 drive array error after firmware upgrade

I just upgraded the smart-2dh controller to version 4.44. I had no real problem with the previous version. Anyway after the upgrade I get an error:

1777-slot 1 drive array -proliant storage enclosure problem detected
SCSI port 1: interrupt signal inoperative-check SCSI cable.

Nothing has been changed other than the "upgrading" of the firmware on the controller. the system bios is E39 with date 04/19/2000. It has 512 of ram with a 300 mhz proccessor. The system seems to work however, a F1 prompt comes up to continue which is annoying. I must admit the 3000 is a rack mountable unit but currently, it is just sitting on a shelf and not in a rack. The sytem runs fine otherwise. Any help out there?

Update the firmware on the drives attached to the Array Controller . If error continues have the Array controller replaced .
