1783 Array Controller Failure
I have 3 servers with the exact same configuration for the 431 card.
but only 1 server is having the 1783 Array Controller failure (intermittenly) stat=0FF31h, ret code=02BFFh
These 3 servers have been in production since Aug 2000 with no hardware changes.
any advise or direction is appreciated...
thanks,
Gavin

Re: 1783 Array Controller Failure
I forgot to mention that the ADU says everything is fine.
(currently the server is up, I hesitate to bounce it...)
thanks,
Gavin

Re: 1783 Array Controller Failure
Hi
Well this is a little dangerous, but the only way to ged rid of the 1783 message is to upgrade the firmware before the card fails all together. It is also recommanded to have latest Bios on server .
Your decision !

Re: 1783 Array Controller Failure
Thank you Vic...
I appreciate your assistance..
We have a saying in our shop, "what's the worse thing that could happen?"..
in this case, I won't even say, but it beats the card going out for good...
Thank you again,
-Gavin
