2610SA 6-port RAID not detecting drives
Hi All,
I have just purchased a couple of AAR-2610SA 6-port SATA RAID controllers (part no. 372953-B21)
I have installed one and attached 4 SATA HDDs, but the controller does not detect any drives.
It says "New devices detected at the following SATA ports:
port #0,1"
and then:
"No int 13 Drives to support"
"BIOS not installed!"
Pressing CTRL+A to get the configuration utility, when I attempt to initialize the drives, it gives an error, unable to initialize the drives. If I then do a rescan drives, it does not see any drives at all.
These are brand new Samsung 160GB drives.
Any idea what's going on here?

Re: 2610SA 6-port RAID not detecting drives
Hi Leigh,
All the resources on the web point to array problems, If I read that right, issue is with detecting drives.
Have you tried different SATA drives? look for a firmware update incase if any exist; Could also try adding drives one by one and scan.
PS: Hope you got cabling right, now which setup does this card fit in?
Cheers!
Shiva
