3550 (Model 20) Array won't bind drives
I have an HP9000 K570 with a 3550 (Model 20) raid array. I have 10 A5132A 9gb hard drives (Part Number 5063-5333) that I want to switch with 10 4.2 gb drives.
My gridmgr is PROM 1.57, Microcode revision 8.60. I can add the 4.2 gb in, bind them, change the parameters, etc ... but the 9gb drives will not work. They show up in grid manager, but if I wait 30 minutes, there is a hard bus error and they disappear from the grid manager.
Will these drives work with the A3550A array? If so, what do I need to do to use them?

Re: 3550 (Model 20) Array won't bind drives
Go to Presentation usility and check and post here exact values of PROM and Flare versions.
Run 'i' command there and post here also. Generally you should check that these 9GB disks are HP disks having HPxx firmware

In the presentation utility for grid manager, the PROM 1.57 ... I can't find anything about Flare ... Microcode revision 8.60 is that it?

Make a screenshot of Grid Manager screen and 'i' command output. The best if you will do it from BOTH controllers and attach them to your next reply zipped
