750Gb SATA drives, 432341-B21
Gents,
if you have HP 750Gb SATA drives in your storage, can you please give me the original manufacturer's p/n of this HP drive ?
Who made these dirves ? Seagate or Maxtor ?
Does anybody try to install not original drives (1Tb SATA) into MSA20 or HP DL320s server ? Is it working ?
Why I'm asking. HP offers only 1 year warranty for SATA and this warranty can't be extended (!!!).
I need 3 years waranty to SATA drives. Our local suppliers can provide that for Seagate drives.
Thanks.

Re: 750Gb SATA drives, 432341-B21
I would not expect any issues. Use the Seagate drives. OEMs get 1 year warranties from the manufacturers, so that is where the HP 1 year came from. Of course, depending on the controller, HP doesn't back any problems you might inccur from the controller.
