A M20 Problem

A hard disk of our M20 is failure, but we don't know which LUN it belongs to. Now I want to connect a console to it, but can't see anything in the console, can someone tell me some hints?

Re: A M20 Problem

Are you talking about IBM Netfinity 5500 M20 server with RAID card?

No, it's a Disk Array of a K class machine.

Re: A M20 Problem

Is it A3232A HA disk array model 20 called 'Nike'? Can you give more details?
I ran search over yahoo and found only these IBMs M20...
If yes, then make sure you're using vt100 settings with 9600-8-N-1. When connected press 'enter' key and see what will be displayed. Usually (it's recommended) serial interface is left in presentation screen so pressing enter will simply display previously selected disk statistics

Re: A M20 Problem

I found a label with "A2997A" on the backplane, I think it must be the product number.
I remember I used to connect the console to it with EM100 setting.
