Hi all,
I am in china, and recently I hearded that HP will not sell XP512 & XP48 right now, instead HP sell XP128 & XP1024.
Does anynoe have official doc about this issues, or useful web page link?
Thanks in advance.

Re: About XP512 & XP48
I've not been able to find any official announcements but, I believe that is true. I believe the 256 and 512 models are discontinued and the 128 and 1024 are what is available. More than a year ago I was looking at getting a second XP256 and it was not available.

Solution
Well, HP launched the XP family in May 1999 with the XP256. In May 2000 we started shipping the XP48 and XP512 and discontinued the manufacturing of new XP256 in all 2000. In May 2002 the latest generation XP128 and XP1024 hit the street and as a consequence the XP48 and XP512 were taken off the price list in fall 2002. Nevertheless you can still buy upgrades for the XP48 and XP512 and even complete refurbished systems from HP.
So there are no issues with the former XPs. We are just evolving the XP family and supplying the best and fastest technology for our customers. The XP1024 doubled the performance and the number of disk drives compared to the XP512 at less floor space!
See the announcement on http://www.hp.com/hpinfo/newsroom/press/2002/020507j.html
Cheers Peter
