Re: Add new harddisk to current mirror disk
For instance,
If two disks are configured as a mirrored pair by the array hardware and belong to vg03, you can configure one more mirrored pair to extend storage capacity.
After bounding into a RAID1 mirrored pair, do vgextend to vg03.
# vgextend /dev/vg03
# strings /etc/lvmtab
/dev/vg03
c1t2d1 ---> 1st mirrored pair
c2t2d2 ---> 2nd mirrored pair
Hope this helps,

Re: Add new harddisk to current mirror disk
hi
if you have installed netraid assistant, go to view ad delete configuration, you will see the two new hdd in ready, just drag and drop it in the logical device on the right of the window, the migration will start after confirmation fo whickind of raid you want. data will be preserved, anyway, a full backup is recomanded.
Important thing: befor the migration run a consistency check to be sure all is ok
bye
