Add storage
I am quickly running out of storage on my DL380. I have 6 36.4 Ultra320 disks in a RAID 5 configuration on a SmartArray 6400 controller. I understand that in order to be able to utilize the extra space of a higher capacity disk, i would need to replace all the disks in the array.
Question 1: How do I determine the specific kind of disk to replace with? For example, would the following disk be a good replacement? Fujitsu MAX3147NC 147GB 15,000 RPM SCSI Ultra320 80pin Hard Drive
Question 2: Once all the drives are replaced, how would i go about expanding the volume to include the new data?
Thanks in advance for your help

Re: Add storage
For question 1: To avoid any problems, as well as to avoid voiding your warranty, replace the drives with genuine HP replacement parts. Talk to your reseller or HP Sales Rep about what is available for your specific generation of DL380.
For question 2: search for the manuals for your SmartArray on www.hp.com and download the manuals. There should be step-by-step instructions in one of them.
Good luck!
