Another Jamaica Question

Is it possible to connect 2 K-Class servers to the same disks in a Jamaica box?

Only one of the servers would be active at one time. The second server would be in single user mode or powered down. The idea being to have a "spare" server in the case of a major HW failure of the active server. Then the spare server could be brought online to take over for the failed server.

Thanks In Advance

Henry

Re: Another Jamaica Question

Hello again Henry,

That would be fine. Just make sure that you enable termination on each of the SCSI interface cards in both hosts (or use in-line terminated cables) and it would be wise to use different SCSI addresses on the interface cards as well (Primary host = address 7, Standby host = address 6).

Good Luck,
Curt
